If you're passionate about animals and the outdoors, you'll love this project which offers the opportunity to help save sloths in Costa Rica. Working at the National Preserve of the Aviaros Sloth Rescue Centre, which was established as a sanctuary by animal lovers Judy and Luis Arroyo in 1991, you will help care for these dear creatures. As a volunteer, you will undertake a range of tasks to help rehabilitate sloths and return them to their natural habitat. The unique animal rescue center cares for over 90 endangered sloths and you will find yourself making a huge difference by maintaining jungle trails, running tours, cleaning cages, preparing meals and assisting specialists.
